Social Sciences IRB
The Social Sciences IRB reviews research involving education, social and behavioral sciences. The social sciences refer broadly to research that investigates human attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors and is often characterized by data collection methods such as questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, observation, or studies of existing records.
Assuming your research is not exempt, there are two types of IRB reviews: expedited and full. Only studies requiring full review must be submitted by the deadlines in the calendar below in order to be reviewed at the meeting date indicated. In contrast, expedited protocol reviews are reviewed on a rolling basis.
