Federal, State and University regulations require that the Committee on the Use of Human Research Subjects review all research involving human subjects that is:

• sponsored by Purdue University;
• conducted by or under the direction of any employee or agent of Purdue University in connection with his or her institutional responsibilities;
• conducted by or under the direction of any employee or agent of Purdue University or using institutional property or assets; or
• facilitated by the use of the institution's non-public information to identify or contact subjects or prospective subjects.
